Supertram consists of three routes radiating from Sheffield city centre to Meadowhall, Halfway and Middlewood. There are also short branches to Malin Bridge (Middlewood route) and Herdings Park (Halfway route).

Tram-train services could also be extended to the Dearne Valley, Doncaster and Doncaster Sheffield Airport, having been launched between Sheffield city centre and Rotherham Parkgate last October, and building these new routes would be allied to renewals of the existing Supertram network.

In the article it says "The tram-train trundling between Rochester and Sheffield city centre is the first of its kind in the UK". Wow, that's quite a trundle. But seriously, I do hope we can get more lines in our region. The tram system is a bit spartan in terms of covering the area.
